ANA does not ask about the end. It asks about life. About what was worth it, and what is still to come, because no one is only what they were, also what they can still be.
Over time, and without it feeling like an interview, ANA invites remembering within the usual conversation.
The moments that matter most are kept, only if the person wants, as a small library of memories arranged by theme. The family can leave the questions they always wanted to ask and never found the moment for. And the older person can record messages for dates that haven't arrived yet.
A birthday. A wedding. An "I'm proud of you" that plays just when it's needed.
This is the only ANA feature that keeps audio. And that's why we guard it as the most delicate thing there is.
Nothing is recorded without a double yes, the family's and the older person's, spoken aloud at the start of each conversation. Everything is encrypted. Everything is deleted on request. And the older person can always refuse. Their "no" outranks everything else.
The frame is never to say goodbye. It is to celebrate.
